Just got back from Orlando, and I must say I was very impressed with this seminar and conference. While it had the expected amount of “You Can Sell a Million Books” hype and hopes and dreams, they did the best job I’ve ever seen at a publishing conference of explaining just how hard it is to be successful in the publishing industry, and how hard you have to work on marketing, publicity, and PR to make great things happen. Conference attendees certainly got their money’s worth, and learned a lot about what it takes, and how to make it happen.
